Inspired by Kerry's new keyboard thread, I figured I might as well post a new piano thread myself. I just picked up a brand new Roland FP-30 digital piano from my local music shop. I got a 10 % discount, so I'm fairly happy with the deal. They didn't have the legs I wanted for it in the store, but they'll call me when they get the next shipment from Roland, and let me borrow a stand in the meantime. I quit playing the piano when I was 12 years old, and my wrists are aching already after playing for only 15 minutes! I guess I need to be a bit careful in the beginning... It has some nice sounds; three different grand pianos and a selection of electric pianos among other things. I am certainly no expert on these things, but it sounds ok to me. The keys feel nice as well. They have a faux ivory coating making them feel very authentic. Certainly a lot better than the Hupfeld upright we had at home when I was a kid. I will never be a pianist, but I'm looking forward to filing around with some chords. And the wife is happy!
