There is definitely something about juniors and specials. Although my main guitar will probably always be a two pickup SG, I have a thing for single pup guitars and basses. Here's a shot of the bass I bought, by the way. More pics when I get it.

It seems to be all stock and in pretty good condition other than regular finish wear. I paid $1350, which I consider a steal compared to regular vintage prices, which seem to hover around $2200-2800 for 1960s versions. I’ve seen prices over $5000, but that is completely ridiculous. Anyway, this is the first time I have ever come close to thinking of an instrument as an investment...Looks perfect, and you have the gold crown and Gibson inlays which look really nice. Great looking bass, hefty old bridge, very nice indeed.
Over a bloody week to make it a few kms to the airport; I won't be seeing this SG before the new year...

(It took about 3 days after ordering to process my Korean credit card, so you can further deduct that from the 17th.)
Bummer on the slow shipping, but TOTALLY AWESOME ON THE GUITAR - Happy Merry Christmas and New Years...
Still have the junior. A '65, yes. I have been playing it quite a lot lately, it is absolutely screaming. It is definitely a keeper, but could use a new nut. Might take it to the guitar doctor's sometime this spring.
