1997 Epiphone Pro 2 Super Strat ( sorta rare)

Nice, and another vote for cheap but good guitars!!
Those Epi pick ups have my interest.

I have the plain old Alnico Classic A5 set a lot of folks find muddy in my G400.
I dont hate them but they do not have the same clarity and "something" the Giovanni GVH-1 A5 PAF ( budget Artec OEM PAF type) set I have in an LP type.

Congratulations BFT on your new axe bet it does sound great.
Back in 79 I bought some Bill Lawrence pick ups in cream with the blades on the top, had one put in my strat, and the other into my Explorer, found them to be great pick ups, loved everything about them.
Thanks for sharing your new instrument.

Cool, was talking to my friend the 45 year amp tech-builder. about them Those original Bill L pickups really were good. he figured a way i guess to make it active like without being active,,,under high gain the stay quiet. can stand in front of the amp and it's very behaved..the Washburn is a screaming banshee..lol... sitting here analyzing the gear..some radical changes might happen..the key was finding the fender tone needed for J's voice in the 3203 & Haze 15.. much rather would use my marshall 1960bv cab ..those 2 amps get darn close...we have 3 songs in the works..giving the big M & shredders the spotlight as we venture forward..

.J not doing so good tho...sad..so sad..she hasn't been able to sing much & on last song Dangerous ,had about 2 quick passes to get her vocals. Then she was down for 2 days. was at Drs, on Thursday..nothing left to do on neck.. bone infusion...but we ask why? Bone infusion..ya never found the root of problem..how ya gona fuse bones..greedy system ..it's all out of pocket since April..don't care what it cost..fix her !! Not impressed with the dude that hit us..oh the thoughts...he left scene & yet has no culpability in this it seems..not about revenge...but a good smaking seems appropriate..or put the money everyone is fighting over...of screwing us out of..on a pole in the the middle of the octagon...winner take all....i say it lasts ..maybe 4 seconds...the way its working, the system is making us seem like bad guys,,,makes no sense..you would think its auomatic payment for the medical. by offending party,,not in PA...rant over...srry....

I built 27 Von Herndon, 24.74" Twin Humbucker Stage Crafters. All used the GVH 59 unless a custom pickup was requested.

Excellent pickups.

97 Korean Epiphone Pro 2 Super Strat, OBL Pickups, 25.5 scale. Thin wide neck, hot pickups but 100% clear. Bill Lawrence had been working with Epi but these came out after he left. they are excellent. The Wasburn G2v & this(1 more on way) have blown my mind. This was $175. The Washburn is lead monster & this is riff monster. Tonaly one sits right on top the other in the mix.

Don't think will ever pay over 200 for a guitar ever again,. The key to me was ..heavy & hot bridge-- the bodies are heavy so thay can cop gibson type ones & do strat also. The necks,,they are built for playability. Like em a lil wider for precise finger placement. The Schecter is a great guitar just a lil thin on width(can sometimes bump strings in full chord changes) if i was a teacher would have all the students learning on supersrats just cause of play ability. Blown away.. it's purple but looks black..its a mirror. Edited to take out duplicate
I have this exact same guitar in the same color. I always thought it was the Pro-1 because it had one humbucker and one single coil. I got it six months ago used for under $100, which was great. It's a great guitar overall. http://www.epiphonewiki.org/index/Pro-Series.php

If it is taking a while to post, refresh the page and it should appear. You may also have what would have been a duplicate as a draft. Just delete that.

This should all go away when we get on a new server which is in the works
