I have always wanted to hear a Priest version of this song thank you Robert that was excellent..Ok,
We started on this project about 3pm and finished up around 8:30....My studio drummer friend laid down a simple, yet dynamic drum track and I followed up with the bass lines. The entire song was recorded in just a few hours today (12/14/2019) in my home studio and - the best part is - it was just for fun. The idea was to remain faithful to the original, but give it a harder, more modern sound. I am shooting for a very 'in your face' recording...with an urgency in the guitar work. I also strived to give the feeling of two guitarists playing simultaneously, doubling every solo section in real time.
On the technical side, this was recorded using only my Jackson through my Blackstar ID-core 100 direct-out into the DAW. Rhythm guitars are panned 60% left & right with a 3rd track in the center. Thoughts???

Thanks Mitch
My drummer friend feels like the doubled solos may have came across a little Ted Nugenty...what are your thoughts???

I guess it comes down to how much one has listen to TN. LOL
For me, your lead tone is you. :dood:
I think the recording process might have some things in common, pulling his ear to that conclusion.
I would take it as a compliment.
We all have musical memory, and certain sounds will provoke responses.
Its something like when the Doc tests your reflexes, and your knee responds.
