Jackson San Dimas Adrian Smith;

More Bite and Aggression in the tone!!

I enjoyed both, I do favor this one though! :dood:

I gotta say these phone jams are doing a great job at catching the sound! ;)

Always Great Jams Bro!!

I'm not so much of an EMG guy, I guess.
The chording especially on the Jackson is so organic, with a natural bite and aggression that I just love! :dood:

There both great in there own way.
Just preference speaking here, nothing more nothing less.

They are different. Probably the best thing about EMG is how stable they are at high volumes. They don't feedback at all.....for me, considering our performance volumes, that's huge...even more important to me than the tone....is being able to work less than 4 feet away from a tube Marshall, with gain and volume on 'Red Channel' a full 2/3rds up and hitting that with a TS-9 at 1/2, and having zero feedback issues.

That thing NEVER sounded that good here!!!!!! lol

I did change the pickups...the bridge is a long-discontinued 2004 GFS 'Double-Slug' @ 13.9k and the two single coils are -then experimental, 'Tru-Coil' hum cancelling single coils, a 10K in the middle and a 7k in the neck.

The pickups are light years better than the factory Jackson's that it came with...
