To Scream or Not To Scream:

So Robert never came back to share his great tone in his thread here .
He did get it all worked out , and then some.
But you guys know me , I will bring some Dsl40c’s tone.
And because of RVA’s thread I am going to bring some V into focus.

Mitch, have you DSL-40 afficionados experimented with the new DSL-40CR's? My understanding is that the upgrades have turned them into giant-killers, was just wondering if y'all have gotten the goods yet.

I keep wanting to hear more of your Dsl40c recordings, because the ones you have posted before, are really ripping.
Cheers

Me too!!!!

At present, 'Fire Control' is on break until January and 'Outfall' is busy recording material for the new CD. Jeff (outfall band leader) has a super nice JMP 50 watt 1968 SLP and vintage cabinet that we will be using on some recordings that are currently in the works. The DSL40C will likely appear on those racks as well.

I can’t wait to hear them brother,
with the amps mentioned , that is a recipe for success.
Cheers Mitch

Holy mackerel, that for sure will let the amps sing to their potential.
Ya killing me with the suspense.
Congratulations on your new project Robert sounds like a winner on all accounts...
Mitch

Thanks, man...They found me, as I wasn't planning on taking on anything else, but I am really glad I signed on.

Right now, we have 10 originals to finish recording, plus, we are considering a remake of Band Aid's 1984 hit "Feed The World" which I would love to cover....

Sounds awesome brother, not sure on how all of their music
(Originals) are going, because I have not gone through any of their songs , but I have a piece called
Sea of Life that fits this genre,
Just needs to be finished/ rearranged and more lyrics added to what I have already written.
I would be proud to donate it to the cause.

In my experience, yes. The V30 can be tight as a drum in a sealed cab but can get loose as a wet stinker in an open-back with a lot of gain. The TS gives both a mid boost and firms up/attenuates some of the lows, so it's a perfect match.

Gball, am I understanding your comment is trying to explain the tone is a large part influenced by the V30 here, plus I am assuming 99% correct, his DSL is open back.

Pretty sure this clip also reflects a lot of similarities and differences in gain sound of both V30 and G12 75's here open back
