Deep Gouge In Urethane Rocker Panel:

Had this deep gouge in my rocker panel since i bought it. I got tired of looking at it, so i decided to make it less noticeable..



I feathered it with #400 paper and found a Rustoleum color that was a halfway match by eye. I sprayed it, cleared it and then burned in the overspray with a spray can of paint thinner.



It's not perfect, but it is a lot less noticeable!!!

I do love yellow vehicles. The fix is way better than the eyesore it was. Now you have to look to find it versus immediately having your eyes drawn to the damage. Sweet wheels too.

My old Ford Ranger is pretty much one big deep gouge...

Your 'quick' touch up looks pretty darn good...
