It is a dry heat. I was there and in Death Valley. I went for a walk on the salt flats and could not even sweat at 100 degrees.
First time I went to LA and Fremont Ca in 1986, I could never get warm due to no humidity even when the temps approached 85-90. I had to wear a Jean jacket to not be chilly.

Whoa. I'm use to Washington weather. Humidity strong from 90 up. I start to fade when the temps get up there.

the 2nd day we were there was 105 but a wind was blowing and it felt like someone had a hot blow drier in my face. I've never felt heat like this.

while visiting Missouri years ago I couldn't get dry. So much humidity. Sure is something how places vary.
