Vox AC10 or Ac15,,,anybody ?

Rolled these out for an hour..right back they went..learned why i ended up on Super Reverbs..the jtm45 my guy put fender power & 6l6's in,,its the sound that got me..Headed towards todays tone am working with on CD. . the Supers just fit the edge of breakm3 (2).jpg up & clean

The AC10 sounds amazing in the video.
yeah...am hearing something that i can use..simple over the top of rhythm leads for studio use..just to color a lil..but not a marshall mid & not a pedaled Fender..i hear it & being a grab & go at 10 watts..i will dime it & just use another cab if needed for placement. I got the Ampeg pf50 bass head for studio & it paid off...maybe the unique Vox mid is that raw next step

I had an AC15C1 for a couple of years. I just never bonded with it. But, it was me...because when I sold it the guy who bought it played it when he came by to purchase.
It sounded so good when he played I almost regretted the sale. But as I said it wasn't for me. I just don't use that quick break up sound and it broke up fast!

That's been kind of my experience, too.

They're fine for others, but I haven't bonded with them. Of course, I haven't played through many. Maybe I just haven't tried enough of them.

While I have 0 experience plugging into a VOX amp of any kind, size, or vintage, I do know I have heard many recordings with bands that use them.

Here is a super cool video history of Vox I quite enjoyed. "Rock N Roll had arrived from America, Suddenly everyone wanted electric guitars."

Ive had several VOX amps--if I found a deal I would have another--
For "ME" the AC15 head with attenuation would be the preference-- but thats me--
Really enjoyed the little VOX ac 4 tv I had --- shoulda Kept it -- but other things beckoned and it got lost in the shuffle---such is the sickness..............

As @eSGEe says , the AC15 head with attenuation and V212C cab is great, I have one, works perfect at home an on small stages without being mic.

AND Adrian, WE both know a guy named Hank AKA VoxAC30. I would venture to call him our Vox expert. I bet any one of his vintage AC amps sound really good too.
I like the sound of what Bastarddon has too, a home brewed 18 watter

Im always on the hunt for another little AC4 -- keep searching for one with a blown speaker-- or damaged cabinet--- that I can "tailor" into a little head ---- HA I said head :pound-hand: :pound-hand:

I sure loved the part of that video at 18:20 to 19:00+ on how Brian May so simply coaxes the lead of Bohemian Rhapsody ou this his Red guitar and Vox.

Also, Be sure not to miss the " Trust Me bruv..." starting @ 24:14 on
