And with all this software you can! I can strum a few notes and record it. Then strum a few more and so on. Then mix it all in Audacity to a backing track
and it sounds like I played through the entire song from beginning to end. Is it helpful to my guitar skills NO! But, it is fun and rewarding in it's own way.

It has given my the insight on how someone can make an entire album all by themselves and do every part...

I just started using Cubase LE the trial version, yet it came with VST plugins.

The computer needs an interface, and recording software.





The cell phone I think they are using the built in mic to record with... the phone acting like a digital form of a tape recorder..

I grew up with the wall-mount version! I used to tune my first acoustic to the dial tone.

We was uptown -- had one like Chas in the living room AND a wallmount one in the kitchen!!!! cord on that thing stretched to the stairway and down 3 stairs.......needed privacy to chat up girlfriends

I have never tried that method.
I always grab a pair of wire cutters and threatened to cut their G string hmmm

Did you guys have party lines in Cali? I would pick up the phone at the grandparents to make a call and have to ask the neighbor to hang up. Eavesdropping extreme.
