This one brings a tear....You have to watch the entire video...pay attention to the black solider (Jacoby) and the solider with the beard....the story hinges upon those two characters...

Y'all really need to cut me some slack, right now.
A great guy, with whom I was in a band for awhile, just lost his daughter.
She was just over 17 years old. She was severely disabled and died in his arms.
Her death was expected, due to her disability, but it's still tragic.
I still remember her coming to our band practices in her wheelchair. She was nonverbal...but displayed enjoyment with our playing. She was an inspiration to all of us, as band members.
This is a real blow..but I'm trying to be supportive to her father, who was our lead vocalist.

Yo Smitty, my heart goes out to your friend. As you may recall I too lost a daughter almost two years ago to the day. A parent should never have to bury their child. 17 is far too young to leave this life. This is the song that most reminds me of my daughter.

Yes, I do remember.
In the case of my friend’s daughter. She had early-onset Type 1 Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome. She was somewhat of a celebrity in the AGS community because she had lived longer than anyone else with it who contracted it as a baby - having survived to 17 years old. Now that she has died, the longevity record is being held by a 16 year old boy.

Awww Smitty. Sure hate hearing sad stories. I know God has a place for his dear daughter. Glad your friend has you and your family in his sad time. Praying for them.
Losing one of your children is a very tough thing to have to go through.
