Incoming push...

Well I got to mess with the Seventy 4 before work today. Which was about 20 minutes.

it has a generous amount of front end hiss. Just like my other vintage Marshall pedals. Nothing a noise gate won't solve.

The EQ really changes the tone. Love the amount of gain. Roll off is nice. Voicing is all Marshall. Vintage Marshall.

I found a sweet spot with it running into my 1960I. Definitely want to tune it more and try it with a couple more amps. Give it a thorough stomping.

Will hit it this weekend. Hope to get a lil clip too.(y)

Am I missing something in life with my lack of pedals?
I'm content with my tone straight from guitar to amp.
I don't even take em in trade any more, as I just flip em without even trying most.
None have made me play better, look better, lose weight, or buy me beer...
The only one that made me sound better was a tuner pedal.
An inline device with no tone coloration at all.

BUT, there is one I'd like to try.
The Freqout by DigiTech.

Yes the hole IS deep.

Come on now . . . All The Kool Kids have pedals, So You Have To Have Them Too.

Congrats! Never heard of LPD Pedals before. Here we go again!!

LPD pedals are very sweet. Not as $$$ as a Wampler but still very Well made. More of a regional brand still I believe.
LPD is based in Mesa AZ which is a 10 minute drive for me.

it's a real good thing I don't live anywhere close to a good pedal maker. I'd be broke and hangry...

Ask RVA to show a pic of his pedal board. Sloven has a sweet setup also. His requires a road map.

In my quest for a particular tone, i discovered there were only a few pedals that were needed to shape my sound - and all have to run 100% of the time in order to create that tone.

One huge part of that sound was the TS-9 i got from ChasFred. Another was the GE-7. The compressor and chorus also run 100% of the time, which was a huge part of George Lynch's tone and a technique used by Ritchie Faulkner and Glenn Tipton.

If i switch each effect on individually, there is hardly any perceptible change to my tone. It is only when all are running together that the difference can be heard, and yet its not a thick, wet tone either.

Delay is switched on only for certain songs and the left EQ is only used as a solo boost.

Sorry no clips yet.

I've got the Seventy 4 dialed in with my 1960I to give me that mid gain Marshall high mid thwack while picking notes. Talk about revealing my slop.:LOL:

I'm having a blast. Quite a few ways to set the pedal. Gonna play around with the mid gain stuff for now. It can get mean too though. A solid hard rawk mean.(y)
