You should be fine. Keep the above method in mind when you get to the tru oil finish

I used the concentrated Stew Mac stain with water. If I let this dry for a week (Minnesota, dry, furnace running) do I need to use that shellac clear sealer to keep the Tru Oil/naphtha mix from making the stain bleed? If so, should I use the aerosol or brush on?

I have honestly only used tru oil on unstained wood. That said, if it is properly dried, it should not bleed
