Robert, I bought this kit off a friend who used to live in LA area. He had the Bass drum Woofer custom made and then custom painted to match Pearl Drum's color called Purple Storm. It is a Pearlescent Purple. The painter was a place that did bike paint jobs for Jesse James, West Coast Customs. My friend shipped the kit to me as it is pictured from his place above, minus the snare and hardware and cymbals. Shortly after, he relocated to Nashville area and began a 10+ year job working for Pearl. A few years ago I got the chance to meet him when my girlfriend and I took a trip to Nashville, Louisville, Lexington and other parts of KY and TN while on a conference she had for work.

Contrast that kit with my current dream kit.
MY dream kit is almost what I have now, and had I kept my 2nd kickdrum, I would have the dream kit, minus 14x14 and 18x16 floor toms.

As it is, MY joy to play kit, has a 22x18 kick, 10x8, 12x9, 14x11, 14x12 hanging toms, a 16x16 floor tom, and rounded out with a 6.5x14 Snare. I have already posted pic of it, but the finish is called Emerald Fade.29.jpg30.jpg

I also found a bought what I thought was one of the coolest ever style of Pearl Sensitoe snare drums in that Hand Hammered Nickel finish 6x14 snare up top.
