I just seen/heard something pretty cool. No pictures though. Florida has these big ole Sand Cranes, I think their full name maybe Sandhill Cranes. Anyways. I see the around a lot, but generally flying. This morning I saw flying, pretty much low and over head. It was calling out. Off in the distance you could hear a higher pitched shorter call. The that flew over head, to me, looked like it was adjusting it's flight path towards the higher pitched shorter call. I watched/listen for a bit. I've been in Florida many years and that's the first time I've witnessed this - pretty cool I though - so, figured I'd share it. I tell you what. Those cranes are pretty big. It looked like it was having a time keeping itself up and it certainly wasn't in a hurry - lol...

Sandhill Cranes are LOUD ---and BIG -- watched our Cat Redrum stalk one for a while till he got close enough and REALIZED how big the thing was ....he aborted the chase! lol

I cranked up the SG through the 900 MKIII. It melted.

The beavs are back at it. Still didn't get to see them down by the swamp, but got 3 good tail slaps that sounded like a fat man doing a belly flop. About 38 degrees out here at 4PM.
