Boss 7 band EQ

Well have a staticky master, so I opened it up and found this.

So how do I clean it?
What should I use?

I dont have contact cleaner, would isopropyl alcohol do the job.

If there is actual dirt in there the isopropyl will do a good job. If it is corroded you will need electrical contact cleaner.

Caig Deoxit is what you want. Guitar Center has it as well as Stew Mac and other online guitar/amp vendors.

Caig Deoxit is the best, it's not cheap but it is THE best to use. No damage to plastic, No residue, and take very little to do a GREAT job.

Agreed. Deoxit will work. Also one can will last "forever". It's great for cleaning guitar and amp pots and other stuff.

That looks like my old GE-7, LRT.

If so, there ain't no telling what's in there. That thing has been around awhile. Like, 20 years now or so, or something close. Could be dirt, grease, food, dog hair, , piss, spilled beer, dried teenage ejaculate...anything is possible. Better get a biohazard team.

Well I'll grab some contact cleaner from the shop I work for. Seeings it's a electrical shop there should be some on the shelf
