Just waiting to schedule the appointment, it's gonna be a Radical Nephrectomy, meaning the entire kidney, adrenal gland, lymph nodes and I'm gonna loose a rib too (wonder if I'll get BBQ sauce for the rib.
) Doc says he's pretty sure it's malignant and because of it's size, he estimates it to be in the stage 3-4 category. 5 day stay in the hospital and an estimated 6 weeks recuperation time. He also told me they don't use chemo or radiation, it just doesn't work for that. I'm just hoping it's just localized and hasn't spread, I had my Spleen removed when I was 16 so there are probably adhesion's to deal with too. At 65 my age doesn't help either, but I'm just taking it a day at a time.

I did some snooping and found Weezy's daughter, Traci Abel's Facebook account. Traci said that a cancerous mass was removed, and that the doctors diagnosed his cancer at only stage 2. They believe they got it all, and the family is waiting on what further treatment might be necessary.
