It's all so boring over at the Marshall Forum...

Long weekend this week. Took the day off yesterday (I won't be able to use all my holiday days this year, so I snuck one in there), and did almost nothing. Lovely. Went shopping for a new cover for my phone and some lightbulbs that needed changing. Today there is a mini beer festival at a downtown brewpub, celebrating hoppy beers. I'm going to pop by (our brewery will be represented with 4-6 beers) before going to a birthday party for one of my colleagues. Nice, lazy weekend.

Does he ACTIVELY destroy the Wease? or is he just un-involved?

I spent a lot of time adding new thread topics, doing reviews, compiling product data. When Alex showed up and bought ETSG it all disappeared and became pretty much invisible. I went from Administrator, to "Well Known Member."

So active douchery then
yeah I get it-- I was there (many of us where) ---I belive I still hold the high post count though I havent posted there in years----
Long story -- I knew that answer to the above question --from my own dealings-- but was curious to OTHERS impressions
;)

"I have to change my output transformer, it's out of fashion..."
"Do you think this amp is all original...?"
" My effects pedal won't work, wha wha, wha."

Its all so blase.
What's going on this weekend? :pound-hand:

Amp mad, I won't echo any discord about other places, but I will say that I am happy that different places exist. If it weren't for Marshall forum, I would never have met you, nekeil, and others who helped me fix my 1972 JMP 50 watt as someone who knew next to nothing about amp servicing.

Now, if one speaks of Alex and what " happened" to the various fora he took control of, I will concur that valuable, hard worked for INFORMATION, was basically thrown in the dumpster along with those who compiled it or benefitted from such info.

Sucky move, sucky result. And to guys like you, Guitarweasel, I am sorry this was how you were treated.

This site is the last chance to keep a gear site pleasant..also..the ratio of "real" posts is fantastic..the gear being used..true explanations ..true gear usage

Not some internet stars who argue & refuse to a/b compare ..refuse to post the clips to back em up..that is frustrating..when you bget attacked by someone who doesn't own & amp & you have 2 of stacked right in front of ya..and can a/b prove the point..not for arguing...but just to reveal the truth in the gear

Sadly a typical day here in Baltimorgue. BFT, I had no idea Harrisburg was as bad. RIP to the "customer" and healing to his family and no more experiences like that to your tech.

yeah man..just up 83 from ya a bit..things have changed..Seems to be a extensionof Baltimore-Philly where the violence has set in. The authorities just don't get it being smaller cities...

Don't ask me, I didn't even know there was a Marshall forum tbh. IMO life has enough problems/issues/hassles without getting on a phone and/or computer and getting into with blips on a glowing object - lol. This is me man, if your somewhere around Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa, etc and want a coffee, need to take a leak, wanna crash on a couch instead of pay for a motel, wanna raid my frig, etc - well, let eESGe know, he can tell you how to get here ;) I'm not rich, famous, or fancy, etc - but, hey - ya'll will be treated pretty much the same rich, famous, or not ;) Ok, half a cup of coffee, wife sleeping, and I'm rambling...

That still sounds like work

Fortunately for me, I used to twist wrenches for a living for a couple of decades. I have a Snap-On roll cab full of tools and an air compressor. Unfortunately I do not own a lift like @Don O does. Good thing is I know how to use the tools that I own and I have been able to share my mechanical knowledge with my son, grandson and now working with my second oldest grandson teaching him how cars work. He is 16 and will be driving soon. Aside from cars, I also have worked with teaching my grandsons how to play, repair and mod guitars. Fast cars and sweet guitars and how I bond with the generations in our family.

Because of my son in law, 2 of my grandsons have more wrenching knowledge than I do.
They work with their dad, and that’s what they do to earn a living, the grandson that lives with the wife and I, has been learning the trade of being a carpenter, I know enough to keep my truck going as it should, but I am no mechanic!
Cheers Mitch
