New guitar "corner" in the music room...

So over the weekend, I decided to cull some gear that wasn't being used, or was "expendable".
So I sold my iPhone 6 (64Gb), electronic Legacy drum kit, Marshall G15RCD S/S amp and a Yamaha acoustic that I haven't played in years.
Surprisingly, I got $500 for all that, so I was happy!
Anyway, the wife is now also happy, as she hated the drum kit, and reckons she needed more room in the music room for teaching.
I have now combined all my gear that's remaining into a corner, and to be honest, I'm happy with it...
Without further ado, my "current" family...

The little Epiphone Studio 10 amp that was the voice of the drum kit is surprisingly "clean" and has quite a bit of headroom for a small "budget model" solid state. I got it with a "players pack" a few years back, and have realised it doesn't sound too bad with the pedals in front of it. It takes up almost no room, so therefore it's a keeper. (It actually sounds OK with the bass, too!) ;)
The Ibanez TSA5 with built in Tube Screamer is definitely a keeper too. I love that little 5W of tube goodness!
Now all I have to do is get some electrical conduit or something similar to hide the spaghetti heap of wires... The missus hates wires!!! (A bit OCD, methinks...)

Now all you need to do is get that ankle healed up so you can ride the bike again.

Looks good Alex; nice job! And a good financial result with the sell off as well.
Time to start trawling through Gumtree perhaps?
:hmmm:

My younger brother moved back to Oz from England late last year, and is still waiting for a lot of his stuff to come via ship.
I lent him an old Monterey acoustic for him to practice on. I believe he has a nice Ovation semi-acoustic coming with his stuff.

Nice setup.
Just grab a guitar and play whenever the urge hits you.
You guys are lucky (or maybe just more organized than me?).
With the size of my home (9 rooms, 2 1/2 baths, 2783 sq. ft. and a full cellar)
you would think I could find a room or a space for my stuff but NOOOOOOOOOO,
it's scattered all over the place. Guitar racks in the hallways and bedrooms, amplifiers
in the dining room, living room, basement and bedrooms, sound reinforcement gear
everywhere. I actually have to think about where whatever is before I go out the
door for a gig or a jam.

I had a friend drop by today (believe it or not, an Ojibwe Native American from Red Cliff Reservation in Wisconsin, now living in West Australia!!!) and we had a bit of a jam.
He used to have a LP Goldtop when he was living back stateside.
That's him on the right, jamming with his brother, circa 1980. (Photo used with permission.)

He had a go of my Epi '61 Special and fell in love!
A lot of the old classics came out: The Eagles, The Doors, Allman Bros, Lynyrd Skynyrd... Even a bit of "The Sheepdogs"!!! (I taught him the intro to "Southern Dreaming") ;)
Had an awesome afternoon of old school rockin' and a couple of brewskis with my Ojibwe brother. :dood:

Anybody else notice that there are a lot of
really nice guitars and amplifiers in that clip?
The song is cool too. Thanks Alex.

I'm liking that TV Yellow Epi with the P-90's. I've waiting for the stars to align to get one myself.

My kids gave me that for my birthday in 2013. It's one of the Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Epiphone '61 Specials. They came out in 2011.
It's GORGEOUS! It can be really subtle and clean, to dirty and raucous. I will NEVER part with that one. Maybe one day my son will inherit it, but it's not leaving this family until I am dead and buried. (Same goes for my 2011 Gibson Faded SG Special!)
