Watch Glen Solo at around 1:10...

My father played Tele in a Country Western band on the weekends,Elks,Eagles ect.anyhow i grew up watching the Glen Cambell Show and He Haw .Buck and Roy and all that stuff.lots of those guys could really play.

I did know he was a session musician in the wrecking crew, but had no idea he was that good!

Glen recorded what I regard as my favorite song of all time:

Baritone solo FTMFW!!

I never met Glenn, but he was amazing. I did play behind Roy Clark once and he just about blew my mind....

Glenn Campbell played behind Roy Clark too.

LOL!!! Not like that. He came into the studio one day and we were talking. I was about 14 and i had a Harmony Les Paul. Roy asked me if I could play. I grinned and said "a little."

He asked me what I wanted to play, and I answered simply by playing "Yesterday When I Was Young," and Roy just started singing....

I just watched a short documentary on YouTube about his Alzheimers...Very Sad. He turned 80 last year and they say he doesn't remember anything at all now and he's in an assisted living facility...

I watched my grandmother go through Alzheimers. Luckily she was lucid on the odd day, but most of the time she'd reverted back to when she was a child. She thought I was her older brother most of the time. It's heartbreaking to watch a loved one go through it.
