More metal in a strat bridge?
I bet part of it is nitro versus poly. Nitro breathes and poly does not. Humidity will have a greater effect on a nitro finished guitar.
Hahahahaha! See post #2...hahahahaha!
Don’t worry, maybe he’ll be back to ask if you’re serious about effectively sealing wood with a non-breathable poly-coating for the purpose of preventing moisture exchange with the environment, thus limiting the vulnerability of the protected wood to environmental conditions(this would include off-gassing of moisture in the wood due to excessive heat-like exposure to direct sunlight) ....it’s all goodI forgot about that after 3 pages!
That’s a strat for ya, a little magic Fairy dust/ lube at the nut, dive bombs, slight pull up on the end and you’re good to go,Took only the 1987 Squirecaster to rehearsal. 110°F today. About 90°F in the garage. I ran a 50 foot cord outside and played in the sunlight off and on for 4 hours.
Never had to touch the tuning keys.
Interesting!!!

At least that’s how mine work!
