That’s just part.... that strat has a story.... I bought that guitar in 1998. Squier wjej
They first started making them in China... played it for a few years. Lost interest. It got damaged in a move in 2004... pickguard warped and messed the electrics up. Disassembled it but kept it. Got my first Marshall tube amp last October, and went searching for a new loaded pickguard. Ended up finding one on fb marketplace for $20.... guy said it was from a squier or mim. Soldered it up and went to town. Sadly few months later the truss rod wouldn’t adjust... seized up, so got a new neck (the maple one you see on it... orig was rosewood) and took it to the tech. Asked him to set it up and clean, etc... check my poop soldering. He calls me when it’s ready, asks where I got this pickguard, it’s really quality. Seen one like it not long ago on a Jimmie Vaughn Tex mex strat. So, I “think” it’s a Vaughn Tex mex loaded guard, but can’t confirm it 100%. Asked fender and they are no help. I’ve had that guitar since 1998.... only thing original is the bridge and body and the instrinrnt cable jack.
