I have no idea what possessed me to get this one...I honestly didn’t think my bid would come close to cutting it.
Heck, I can barely handle 4 strings in the bass register...where the strings are more like cables ;)
But I won the bidding, so here it is in all of its flamey blue splendor!!!

A late 80s/early 90s(haven’t dated it yet-preamp board has April 89 on it) Peavey TL-Six:

Sorry, I lost the sun for the pic’s, but hey....this thing is crazy!
So far:
Plays well.
Cleaned up well.
Makes a decent sound.(needs some work-someone’s been up to something with the pickups, but it functions)
Active, AND Passive!(both work, well. Just as they should)
Pretty good shape for 30-ish years old.
And it’s Blue!!! The color of justice!

Whew!!!

I beat @eSGEe to a Peavey thread!

Yay!

Anyway, this is pretty sweet.

So, you've got a 6-string, fully-active, 24 fret bass.

Awesome.

The carbon fiber headstock overlay really is cool and unique. And, the neck-thru design is really nice.

It REALLY looks terrific!

But...I gotta ask...

Does it Djent?
Hahahahaha! Thank you sir!!! It looks like I do(have a six string fully active[and passive ] 24 fret boomstick of justice!
It may Djent, but I’m not sure I do.... ;) ....yet.

HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER!!!!!!!!!! is there a CARBON FIBER HEADSTOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER!!!!!!!!!! is there a CARBON FIBER HEADSTOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep!
The neck is crazy-rock-steady too!
Loving the body contours! Lighter than my T-40, and T45.
Feels like I could take out a zombie horde, and finish with some Les Claypool riffage without losing a cent of tuning!
Monstrous!!! ....but not too heavy.

Active AND passive in the same bass?

There's some deep, forbidden sorcery going on up in here with that stage crusher!

Talk about the Dark Side...

That bass is Darth Vader's father!
Yep! The first noise out of the amp was played without a battery on board!
No sorcery, just a little gold toggle switch. One of the three active eq knobs switches over to tone knob duties.
