Many people have used several methods to bring out a shine on the satin finished Gibbo's.
I recently acquired one of these and after my usual pickup routing shenanigans, I polished the satin finish to bring out a nice sheen.

But it wasn't enough.
Sure it looked OK, but I wanted shiny. Real shiny, like looking in a mirror shiny.
I wanted that grain buried.
Well as luck would have it we finally got some intermittent sunshine here in the swamp and I was able to strip, prep & give this thing a proper gloss overspray.
And it has picked up a bit of a sheen, I'd say.


Oh yes, it's sick & slick.
Many coats of clear lacquer with a 400 grit wetsand between em.
Then wetsanded up to 5000 grit & polished from there.
Yes, that's Adrians awesome shielding job. Saw no reason not to leave it as is.
