Maybe It's A Good Time To Re-Focus:

I'm humbled, kind Sir's, Indeed...I truly hope I can contribute something worthwhile herein.

Today is a good day. I put the music first this morning, then decided to pop on here at a break and check in.

I wont be leaving, but I will be refocusing and maybe posting less controversial topics... :-)

Robert, seriously, this place is built on a foundation of you and a few others. It wouldn't and couldn't be the same without you.

Never forget, the debates and comments are always meant from a place of conversation and sharing thoughts and opinions. After all, a forum is a public meeting place for sharing (often dissenting) opinions in the spirit of kinship and learning. What I find personally is that when you type things into the ether and read things thus typed there is often a translation problem because we are missing out on all the millions of little visual and vocal clues that tell us how information is intended to be conveyed from another human being.

I wouldn't lay off any topic, but that's just irritating old me. We all just want to make sure you are still around here, brother.

Very wise words, my musical friend...wishing you all the very best...!!!

That engineer is a fine example of a toxic person. It often takes several days to get the poison out of one's system.
In my line of work, I often deal with highly toxic teachers, administrators, and parents. If often takes me a a few days
to a week to fully recover emotionally from their highly negative and irrational behavior. I once had a teacher scream
at me for entering the classroom during his "lesson," which was nothing more than a cut-and-paste activity. When
I say "scream," I really mean SCREAM, plus leaving the room to get the principal. It was an awful, disgusting display
of immaturity and, in my opinion, mental illness. Despite not owning the problem, it took me several days before I
could let that finally roll off my back.

Please be proud of your contributions to this forum, and know that you are a great father. I spend a considerable
amount of time on the net. I'm sure that you, just like I, are there for your kid/s at a moment's notice.

Robert,

Your contributions are always appreciated by me, even if debated by myself or others. Your presence here makes this a better place. However, your family, work and music certainly come first.

If you need a break, or to slow the pace here, it is certainly your prerogative and may be just what you need. That said, please don't go for too long, or completely. I would miss you.

Your words are much appreciated, I feel the same way.

I have gotten to know you fairly well from your posts , hang in there take a break if you need to but keep coming back to TTR. I appreciate your posts and your talents, these are the things that keep TTR going.

I would echo everything said. Your opinion and thoughts are valued. The clips you post of your recordings are awesome. I would add that “spirited debate” is a healthy thing as long as the participants don’t get nasty. To date I have not gotten that feeling here. No. We don’t always agree. But that’s ok.

Rob you must know that your time spent posting here has help a good number of us to gain knowledge about our gear that we didn't even know existed.
From scale length to all your pickup testing and wiring. You are a BIG part of the TTR family , at least in my opinion.

Give your son some more time, no body here would fault you for that. Family is always first

Be sure of this, WE ALL appreciate your time and posting here.

we have recliners??????????????I been sittin on the old milk crate and have waffle butt!

Yeah.

You didn’t know that!?

I got one when I joined up, and I got an upgraded one when I became a Moderator.

But, Robert hadda go and get all “Customized” and had one built here in the Tone Rooms building. But, it’s now so big that it won’t even fit through the door on the way out. It’s got, like, everything.

So, if he’s gonna go and get all “refocus-ey”, then I’m calling dibs on the recliner.

@Robert Herndon , I love ya, man. But, if you gotta take a break, I’ll miss ya, but I get the recliner!
