New Guitar Build - Walnut Tele with P90s

What causes this?
I applied the coat too thickly. Basically impatience and my own inexperience. I am just barely getting a clear coat shell after 3 days at 2-5 coats a day, so I tried to speed it along

This approach can have a benefit. When you apply clear coat more thickly, it leaves a more uniform surface (less orange peel), so less sanding after curing. This is easier to do with nitro because it does not run as easily. But this is only advantageous for the last coat.

Although I continue to spray, it remains unimpressive at present. The lacquer is going on in a wide spray and there is not much shine. On a side note, owning animals, in this case a cat, makes it much more diffulcult to keep a clean workpiece!
