Now there is a hole ton of internet info on Schenker pickups . Seymour Duncan forums has a lot of info . They are saying the SH5 , he had custom pickups made briefly by Dimarzio and it looks as though Dean took over but I do not have much confidence in Deans ability to copy the Dimarzio.

I contacted Dimarzio about a couple of years ago they said the pickup closest to the Schenker is the Super Distortion 3. Phil Collen of Def Leopard plays them. I did not find his demo helpful in my case.

The Medallion “V” that I lust’s for has T top and patent stickers . Now if I am not mistaken it is a slightly over wound PAF.
One thing that many people forget in the UFO days his wah pedal was different and he had them modified.

I think I need a fixed wah pedal because I don’t care for the sound of the CFH .
The wah adds treble at one point. That might be why he is able to crank the bass up. Plus amp gain is dialed back .

My Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Bridge pickup is here and I put it in yesterday . Wound by MJ to 14.4 with a alnico 4
magnet .

So far I really like it . I put it in my 2000 Les Paul Special pawn shop score. I have a set of 36th Ann. Dimarzio’s I had the Dimarzio in the bridge to compare and I did record audio.

I installed the “MS” Seymour in the bridge and the 36th neck . They sound good together.
When I did the recording I set the V22 amp the same boosted the clean channel with a SD1.
After recording on the clean channel I switched to the drive channel. I had the clean gain maxed and I never use that much gain on the driven channel . I just played a minute but it was perfect for lead tone.

I did several tracks and videos but this is the first one I put up . Audio is not very good and I screwed it up here and there (tongue) . The audio tracks should sound better but I have to go through them . Best thing is I practiced it.
