Now that is a facepalm.the pick guard on my Les Paul recording guitar needs to be REMOVED to adjust the pick ups--- good ol Norlin

WELL---TBTH -- who (come on guys admit it) WHO is carrying a screwdriver and adjusting pickups between songs ---LIVE --to get the tone "just right"???????????

The Chubbo is looking grand man --
for "clarity" Howard was a squirrel that was orphaned by .....I cant remember which hurricane-- and brought to my wife -- who bottle fed and raised him he scampered around the house (yes with dogs and cats and parrots etc.) and had a grand time (at one point "testing" the Chibsons headstock for "tastiness" ....Howard (upon reaching "maturity" )had to leave the "nest" and now lives with his mate Bernadette in the large oak beside our house......happy happy

I set pickups on my guitars to 4/32" and leave them...

I can’t wait for the finished product.
I had a Chibson LP for a little while. There were many issues with it. This husk looks to be of a much higher quality than what I had.

Now, just solve the tuner issue, cut the bridge saddles, lower first fret action and wire/install the wire harness.
It gets used at rehearsal for the first time one week from tomorrow!!!

The Gotoh 4mm pin ABR-1 style bridge has only "starter slots," so some fitting is needed.

Ok, so after trying several sets of vintage tuners, with varying degrees of disappointment, I still did not have what I considered to be adequate tuning post length through the bushing.
I threw the gold Grover keystones on tonight....
They dont have the vintage look of a press in bushing and green keys, but they fit a lot better....
Maybe pick up some nickel ones later on...

Reminds me of when I was young and you couldn’t get hardly anything but the important parts would be installed regardless of
color !
My strat way back when had a cream colored humbucker with the pickup ring, on a black pickgaurd, and I loved it!
