Just arrived

I felt the Sig model had hotter pups and the input jack on the side like a LP...
Overall, I thought the feel and vibe of it matched the G400’s......
I honestly don’t know if the extra $400 is worth those lil extras, but than again thats just me...
Both the G400 and the Sig model growled well and was very nice to play....
One of my friends has a few Gibby’s that I can play than maybe make a decision....I do like the Epi’s though....I have 2 Epi LP’s and just love them....Not sure how others feel about Epi, but I just happen to bond with them just like my Ibby’s........But thats just a Swampboys opinion, what the heck do I know, other than I do bond with them.....:celebrate:

Thanks for the input on the Iommi. So those Gibson Iommi humbuckers are hotter pups, that is cool unless they are muddy.

I certainly have no dislike for the epi’s at all, and I do believe that our SWAMPBIRD is an epi rebuild!
Cheers Mitch

I just need to look around for the magic one....
I might even wander into a few pawn shops...But than again I might need a bit good luck when searching there..

Pawnshop's round here have gone nuts on pricing.
They actually price alot as new, no warranty, case goodies etc....

Since eBay they all think they have rare instruments lol.

Love my Epi, but come on, the Custom Shop stamp is just marketing.

Mitch, that Black EPI LP,reminds me a little of my original 1979 Les Paul except quite a few things. The color is right, the Pups are covered, mine were uncovered T Tops, The knobs are Gold, Mine were Black Speed Knobs, Black pickguard installed my myself, and Schaller tuning machines I swapped on instead of the Gibson ones that would not hold tune. And of course the 79 Gibson headstock.

Quite a few similarities!
