first thank you guys for adopting me in. Its been refreshing to see all the enthusiasm of your gear & how you use it. That is the major reason i ended up on gear sites. Some sites are full of total a-ole.type peeps. They attack you if you can challenge their opinion(like own the gear they are bashing & can post a clip.) I would like to explain whats going on with me & then try to get away from dwelling. I sound redundant at times..cause my life is hard.
Nov 1 , 2018 we got creamed by a DUI driver ..TWICE..he left the scene
Nov 2- Hospital-Wife is concussed head & neck-back injury
Nov 2 perpetrator..calls me , i left business card & gives me his State Farm Policy #
Nov-3 perpetrator switches from State farm to a cheaply Progressive policy.

We have 5 witnesses & the building maintenance man..caught him at a red light..he would not return to scene

Nov 4th-Police report comes back-100% Hit & Run accident..other party fault

J-is now stuttering.we were practiced up ready to do a mini tour this year...have web site-many dates up & down the NE Corridor & radio play lined up

We have been to the Doctor 97 times since nov 1 last year..

yesterday they had a surgery scheduled..we could not do it..NO MORE PAY from Insurance CO..its the first time it was rejected...this stinks man..my wife is hurt..by total negligence & i cant do nothing..I am going to pay for it..(what do people do if they dont have money ? i am blessed by building a lil company.but that is not the point)

Our lives are forever altered..my wife cant hold our granbabys...she cant be left alone..she falls & her neck is shot out..we are part of a non profit group that does clothing & food drives in the inner cities..this tour got big..every sat i have to watch all the load ins & show footage,,i am happy for it ..everybody used their own time & dime to work with others. I
I just want my wife better...my band back..our lives back...it takes everything i can do to not take a drive & make someone hurt that did it...he is a smart azz in a way. from my dealings with him(also owns a bentley & BMW)...i dont sleep--the studio sessions we are doing now is my sanity,,i apologize for my personal life bleeding into my posts..its not me & i gotta somehow..forge forward..thanks to those that helped..i just wanted to get it out & open ...be a guitar-bass player gear freak again...my gosh i have 8 tube heads in the MBR..its a dream come true but not under these circumstances..from here on out..we have to pay for the medical..i like this place a lot & if i turn stupid..or stupider than already..check me..i will come to my senses..thanks. D

Wow, Man....its cool to vent sometimes. Keeps from going crazy...er. I really do hope you have (or will soon get) a personal injury attorney. I think you are holding up well under the circumstances.

To expand. Seven years ago my family had one of those life moments you hope you never have. Maybe someday I’ll share, but this is your thread not mine. The only way we got thru it was our network of blood family, family of friends and our faith.

Pretty sure I can speak for everyone here. We feel blessed you trust us enough TO vent.

All this is a very unfair and disturbing chain of events that you, and especially your wife, are suffering through. I'm assuming that the legal side of this "accident" is still ongoing, and will continue for a long time. I ain't no lawyer, but has a separate civil lawsuit been filed against the DUI driver that will help in much needed medical expenses?

THis is a place to air grievances---- and I have a LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE!---oh wait.....no wrong forum ! HA! LOL!!!

not to make light--- but to levitate spirit-- :)

As Sysco pointed out ---- you need a good lawyer-- FAST-- you have many things to be compensated for by this drunk driver--- thankfully your here still to go after him--his insurance co -- and yours if they turn off the $$$ tap---it will not be easy but it SURE doesnt sound like its BEEN easy--

thoughts-- good vibes and positive mojo to you and the Misses. Please keep us in the "loop" on how things are progressing and dont apologize for venting we all need to BLOW OFF some steam now and again ;)

When given a crappy hand in life try your best to look past it, and at the positive side of things.
You have a bigger heart than most and it takes a lot to share what you just have, and I feel pretty confident when I say that every one here has you and your wife’s best interest at the front of affairs
 
The legal stuff is def being handled...crazy on Oct 13,2016 Mrs BFT had a box dropped on her head at one of out nations top Shipping Co's., Co worker dropped 140 lb box on her head..all said & done after a settlement..no gain or no loss...but lingering health effects.WC system is a real joke & Mrs BFT was 1 semester from a bachelors degree for Counseling, she went back to college late in age & was going towards a field she wanted to work in. I have no respect left for medical-lawyers-the whole system.. run a 24/7 Emergency Co & we don act the way i have seen..the unprofessional..the general lack of care. We been thru Hershey med,Hopkins,OSS,Pinnacle some place in Philly., 7 neurologists..lucky i went to school with a friend who is now a lawyer..he helps encourage & keeps me headed forward by preparing me for the lawyers(he is not injuty attorney, unfortunately).. We had her medical recors out for the lawyer last week..over 700 pages...i could care less about the money.selling my Company this year..i just think they should pay all medical no matter what,,,the dude hit us !! No fault states blow in that aspect.. ..we used to spearhead a non profit org..that is what we miss.. We talked all morning..in good spirits...main thing is we will not let money stand in the way of the care she needs...i will work more thats all..

I’ll take a break from my usual tongue-in-cheek, pithy, off-the-wall posts to get serious for a minute.

Do not apologize for sharing your griefs and pains here. I consider it a proud testament to the members here that they are so willing to come alongside others in emotional need.

It ain’t much, I suppose. These are, in one sense, just words in an Internet forum, I guess.

But, hopefully, the expressions of support here convey a meaning much deeper than just words.

You certainly aren’t the first to expose your grief here. We’ve had members whose children have died, whose spouses have died, who have been hit with financial distress, who have struggled with alcohol...and the list goes on.

Please, know...we appreciate the trust you’ve shown in us by sharing these rough times and our best goes out to you and your wife.

Sorry to hear about this, unfortunately stuff like this happens often. I also have been hit by a drunk driver once up in the mountains and she rolled me down a steep embankment into the creek and another when I worked for the city a drunk driver hit me doing 75 in 25 head on, again another woman.
Hang in there enjoy the good things in life. This place is a great getaway...
