Or more specifically, 8 ball or 9 ball. Any players here?

It's my "other" obsession, after guitar/music. I often joke, if I quit pool I'd have time to be a better guitar player....and, if I quit guitar, I'd be a much better pool player. But I won't quit either until I'm 6 feet under.

My new McDermott cue had been on order for 4 weeks.....Where is it!!!! Geeez.

Rack 'em!!

used to play a LOT back in the day --- we had a pizza joint/bar 3 blacks from our school (dont even think that is LEGAL in todays world)
we would go buy slices -- get vending machine cokes (and cigarettes!) -- steel rum from the back room-- and play pool at lunch all through high school -- got rather good -- doubt I could even break decently anymore --- except maybe a hip--- tripping over one of these 75 dogs laying around here----

I'm partial to snooker myself. I have been since the early 1980's. Cliff Thorburn was my hero back in the day. I met Bruce Christopher in person though.:)

Cool Blackinator. Not sure if I've ever snooked before. I've watched it, and it looks fun.
Back in the day I always liked Willie Mosconi. He was simply amazing. Efren Reyes is someone I really enjoy watching too...his nickname is the magician. Rightly so!!

Lol, I think we were up to a lot of the same shenanigans. I've had the same pool table for 40+ years. We had lots of mischief revolve in, on , and around it. Much of it can't be discussed here..

There's the time Rick King decided to bench press my table. I also recall an entire quart of vodka emptying on it. ...also remember waking up on it a few times....I think I'll stop before I incriminate myself.

My Brunswick table of 40 years. I can count 7 houses it's been moved to. It's nothing pretty to look at, but it plays well and hold many memories....my friends and family love it.

Haven't played in some time. Growing up, grandpa always had a pool table and us grandkids were always playing. We'd settle arguments that way, too. "No, I don't want to do the dishes, I would rather rake the leaves....I'll play you for it. Best outta 3" type stuff. Good times.

Seeing that this is a music forum, I will add, music and pool go hand in hand.
I can play music without pool, but I can't play pool without music. I always have tunes going, and keep a guitar and amp next to the table for those who want to partake.

When I was a youngster, my bud Jimmy and I would air guitar while shooting pool....yup, a pool cue makes a great air guitar, And it's always in tune. It was mandatory to listen to Judas Priest because there was two guitarist and we could have air duels. The problem was we both wanted to be Tipton, so we would alternate who would be KK. The Sentinel was a great air jam!! :dood::dood::dood::rolf::)

Air jams were GREAT! Certain sticks felt better, but like yah said always in tune and never a dull moment!
Rock on with AIRSTICKS :dood: :dood: :dood:

I think Joss cues are still made just a short drive from me, and I have to admit I was hooked on POOL from the ripe age of maybe 8 when my dad took me into a dive and a guy playing a round, took me and showed me the ropes. Funny, I was telling someone that I could scarcely remember a good " fun" thing my dad ever did with me as a kid. Or at least they were very few. Now I remember this one experience. Thanks Dad.
