So last night...

I was scanning the used music instrument want ads on CL, offerup and letgo like I do all the time looking for deals when a new ad was listed for a blue mexican Stratocaster for $150. My lady was sitting next to me when I read the ad to her. She gave me $150 and said Merry Christmas.
It's a 2005 in blue cobalt, in mint condition, with strap locks, a pearl PG, a nice strap and nice gig bag. I replaced the knobs with tele type knobs and put a rubber gasket under the volume knob, so the volume knob is hard to turn. I do that to all my Strats. This one plays great! Waiting on some new strings, then I'll set it it up. My gas is relieved for the moment. I've been itching to buy a guitar for weeks now.

I would buy that, with or with out the BOSS's blessing, string it, list it again for $300 and play it until is sells (or not)

Thanks man! I had to jump on it quick or it would be gone. I missed out on a Epiphone G400 pro in Pelham blue a couple of days ago for $125. The seller offered it to me and I didn't jump right on it and someone else grabbed it.

Thanks ya'll. Cleaned up the electronics, tightened the loose input jack and loose tuners, replaced a few PG screws and cleaned the body, neck and fingerboard. Tomorrow my fender bullet (.009-.042) strings arrive. I'll set it up with a floating bridge, (It's set up like a hard tail right now) and take it for a real test drive.
