IKR?

A good keyboard is not a cheap option...

I happened to stumble on a Korg M-3 and a M-50 and a Roland, I keep the Korgs in the home studio and the Roland @ the main studio.....I have had those things for awhile now and I am still figuring out all the ins and outs.......

I find them intimidating @ times..:mad:
 
It’s really not if you want realistic sounds. And yea there’s a lot to it, hell for a long time I didn’t know there were different kinds of keyboards.

Do you know of a cheaper $500 or so option that can do realistic drum, choral, and orchestra sounds? Or am I still looking around the $1,000 mark?
 
I haven’t done any searching on this, but the Korg M-3 and Korg M-50 are no longer offered and are very good keys....I bet if you looked around you might find one used in good condition for 5-maybe $800..

The sound engines are those 2 were top notch for the time, as well as Roland and maybe a yamaha....

I have had the chance to dabble with roland and the yamahas but tend to like the Korgs...

The M-3 was the King for the time.....Those things are crazy SICK on what they can do..

I’ll keep an eye out for that then, but yea I was looking at Korg’s last night. Seems the way I’m going to end up going.
 
The Korgs are nice!

I surely like my M-50 the best....It does quite a bit, without much thought...
The high end M-3 is just CRAZY....That one is the Big Daddy, but takes quite a bit of keys knowledge to get good results.....All of my keys are weighted keys which makes it feel like the real deal, and all my boards are 88’s....

Here's a song I wrote back in March while zonked on Morphine in the hospital following a kidney infection. I laid down the basic guitar track you hear as soon as I got home and while still heavily sedated. The song was written in a stupor, and I did not want to alter the basic rhythm guitar...
