I have yet to find a PRS I care for. I just don't know what it is, but they are not my thing...

Give them another try. A lot of people don't take to them immediately because they sort of in between a strat and an LP, but are neither, so it may seem like they fall short. In reality, they are excellent guitars that occupy a unique space and given a little time, may really grow on you.
 
That's unfortunate. I think that whole PRS John Mayer Silver Sky "Internet punching bag" has faded away. The Silver Sky's look great on paper and in the demo videos I have seen. None around my area for me to check out.

Yea, I think I'm over it. I can at least go check one at Sam Ash. Have you tried one?

Not yet. The only local guitar shop and PRS dealer around here just started to carry PRS about 6 months ago. 4 or 5 guitars and a couple of amps last time I checked about a couple months ago. No Silver Sky's in sight. Ha ha... Maybe because Fender is this guitar shop's biggest brand.
