I scored a set of these out of a Peter Frampton Epiphone. I'm excited to try them in my Les Paul Clone.

From the Epiphone Website:

"Ceramic Plus™ humbuckers feature 18% Nickel silver unit bases, bobbins tooled to exact Gibson specifications, Elektrisola Magnet wire, but instead are powered by Ceramic 8 magnets."

The bridge specs out at 14kΩ (like a 498T) and the neck at 9.25kΩ (like a 57 Classic +) and the Ceramic 8 has less magnetic pull than Alnico, so you can get them closer to the strings.

They should be pretty interesting!!!!

Should be an interesting experiment. I have limited experience with C8 'buckers. I believe the Duncan Distortions in my Jackson are C8. A very un-musical buddy once told me that the Jackson sounds very "precise" compared to the other guitar he saw me use.
I did once do a mag swap on an assymetrically wound (15k) humbucker, from A5 to C8. As well as giving it a hotter output, it made it tighter with quicker attack (more "precise"). It also increased treble response noticeably. Cheers

Wow, Ivan....that would be great if I ended up with tighter/quicker/more precise!!!!

These are pretty hot...12.5k neck and 14.0k bridge........
 
Wow, just wow...I was not expecting to be blown away by these. With these Epiphone pickups installed in my Les Paul copy, the tone is every bit as good as the 498T/496R combo in my 2016 Gibson Les Paul. The only difference - and its subtle - the Epiphone HotHB8N has a smoother tone on the g/b/e strings and the 498T has slightly more bite.

Other than that, the HB8N and the 498T share the same resistance values and the same volume levels...and ironically...even when set by ear...the bridge pickup poles are set exactly the same as my 498T - at 4/32" on the 'E' and 7/32" on the 'e' respectively.

The fact that these pickups cost me $20.00 brand new from Stratosphere is a very good value too.

No need to Re-EQ when changing guitars. Zero 'jangle' on the unwound 'g' string. No hum or buzz and no squeal even when seated right in front of the amp.
