so--- you people-- I blame you people ---

-- I use pedals -- mostly for one amp-- The Lil Sexy Fender 5 wattish amp head--

the rest of my amps have reverb ...and distortion and STUPID levels of gain --- (one has more pedals than I can name "built in")
and that is typically enough ----

but its because of YOU ALL--- this arrived-----

and so far-- used on BASS---- it gives a very nice----- GEEZER flavor to the ol Hartke!
making an OLD GEEZER happy :)

SO this brings my pedal "board" --- or count actually because I dont have a board nor do I want one--up to
SIX!?!?!?!?!
Mercy me---

Geezer is the name of our current band.... :-)

I've avoided multi guitars and multi pedals for years...until coming here.

That sounds like the start of a collection. Welcome to the dark side. Pedals are like peanuts, you can never have enough. Each pedal giving you different nuances, different tones. Not all will work for you, but the fun is in the hunt. And, there is nothing wrong with Electro Harmonix. Many of there dirt pedals are especially nice.

Not really been down that road sold off many and there is no guarantee this lot will stay
See
1 I am genuinely NOT into complication....guitar cord amp are enough distractions
2. I like profit.....
3. I get bored very easily and look for my hammer
4. I have a MESA pedals need not apply :)
The rabbit hole is not an issue
I've flipped or returned pedals the same day I got them .........if I dont like it it's gone

I am an amp + cable guy. Simplicity is paramount....and I rolled like this for years. My main rig was a 2203 full stack that didn't even have reverb.

Having said that...i am now getting a tone from my amp that sounds like a studio console feed, instead of sounding like Angus...and that's why I'm converting to becoming a pedalphile...

the muff drive on the bass sounds groovy --- actually -- (I guess thats WHAt its supposed to sound like) it sounds like a blown amp speaker---- BUZZZ buzz fuzz fuzz----

Im liking it--- I REALLY like the comprssor/sustainer and bass--

guitar--- I try but mostly just straight into the MEsa or PEavey Bandit-- is all I need

I dont like "on off" compression --- I had a multip pedal (Digitech) wiuth it --- also had a vox bass amp and an ASHDOWN bass amp with it---- didnt like it-0

I'm clueless on all of that stuff...I just now he really seemed to like it and got great sounds out of it too....

lol did you try that Tonebender Supa on Bass when you had it? Just curious? And don't worry you aren't the only one who needs to quit lol! With the talk with Grumpy over the Beano Boost I decided to pick up a Germanium boost err...sort of?

I have it plugged into the TSA right now and it gives it a little extra but doesn't color it to much at all like a regular drive pedal. And I am actually really digging my new DSL20 red channel. Just turned them off for now but going to plug the Plexi 100 into the DSL later!

uhm.....................only if ytou wanna send me a free one (BUWAHAHAHAH)

'the JOYO Ultimate Drive I think comes CLOSE to the RAT ish tones and I have that -- and have used it -- and AGREE!!!

I gotta say...minimal is better.

In spite of having the big, bat-winged, pedal board of doom, I try to be as minimalist as I can.

Of course, I’m about to add another pedal and power supply to my board, but keep in mind...pedals add their own noise. Don’t have more than you need.

For review...

“The Board” in its current configuration...
