Battling Alcoholism...

3-4 16oz beers or a bottle of Pinot Grigio every evening.
Yup, that's too much for an everyday thing. I've been retired for over 4 years. In the last couple of years my beer consumption is up to 3 - 5 12oz beers everyday. And most of the times, these are IPA style of beers! Love the beer too much. I do know that this habit of mine is not good. More power to you, Goldy...:yesway:

Good on ya, Goldmember! Working in the acohol industry, I might come across as having double standards when I say this, but I’m proud of you. Alcohol is a poweful drug, and I’ve seen too many people in trouble because of it. The nastiest part is that it affects both the drinker and the people around the drinker.

Alcohol is an interesting drug. It would help me sit down and drift away from life's stress and troubles...but only for a short time.
If anything happened out of the ordinary, I would find myself overreacting, sometimes with unnecessary anger. Now, though I miss
the "escape," I'm able to think clearly before reacting and put up my emotional armor. Oh, yes, and I no longer have to worry about
making the choice to drive or not. Thanks, everyone, for all the kind words of encouragement!
