so usually I use Earnie ball cobalts... broke the freaking A string... so fine! Ernie ball say these are unbreakable then let’s see!

Will do! Can’t hurt. Meantime I get to learn how to restring a Floyd rose! I’ll let y’all know how the paradigms are with a vid so you can... sorta hear the tone over iPhone recording?

this is ONE way to do it------

I find -- if Im NOT oiling the fretboard or polishing frets--- then I just change 1 string at a time--- after removing the locking nut----and it seems to work about as good as this method....

just preference I guess

Good approach!

Ok, so I originally had this axe set up for 10-46. In the paradigm I originally grabbed the purple package but quickly realized my mistake. Unfortunately in paradigm they didint have 10-46 (popular string gauge I imagine) so I grabbed the 9-46.

Got her restringed and the bridge now wants to sink back a tad, to be expected, truthfully I only ever really push down most of the time so, for the mean time it will work.

Tonal difference? It kinda has a cobalty tone to it... there’s something a bit different, a tad bit brighter but I don’t know if that’s the string composition or the gauge

Also, I did the one string at a time method.. I already have enough problems tuning the damn thing but the whammy bar is so much fun... damn it all....

As promised. Tones. Plugged straight into Marshall mg100hdfx

That has the same controlled tone that I love...even loud, the signal is well behaved. Does that make sense???

Take back trem cover off and loosen the claw screws a half turn then retune, this will lift the rear of the floyd. those heavier strings have more pull. i like a little forward slant to the floyd.seems if there perfectly level they wobble back and forth between sharp and flat if this makes sence.
