First Time Pedalboard Size Advice:

Don't get a big one - you will grow into it!

The one you showed will be able to comfortably hold those pedals and a visible PSU.

You said you wanted an all Boss pedalboard - well the BCB60 & BCB30 are expensive ways of achieving that:

More questions....

I have my Boss FV30L Volume Pedal and Boss DD-3 in the FX loop.

I tried the 4 cable method without success.

The Dunlop Wah, GE-7, CS-3 and NS-2 are at the front of the amp in that order.

Where to put the TS-808 and the future chorus pedal and in what order???

I’d put your EQ and chorus in the loop, too. Put them before the delay.

The bin...

:D

You should have told me you wanted a TS808, I would have sold you mine at half price... (having said that, I'm hopeful that I'll find out how to uese it and get good sounds; sure it's me rather than the pedal...).

Hey, Grump!

I am only borrowing the TS-808 for testing as I am not sure how the DSL40C will react to it...

A tape measure.

Seriously though, lay out the pedals in such a way that is instinctive to you, allows clearance between pedals, and feels natural. Then, build your own to suit.

That’s what I did.

Holy Biscuits...such a simple idea and I didn't think of that....Geez!

That's good information. I've noticed that being in the loop mellows out my DD-3's effect a it too, making it more subtle. Is that common???

The problem is that with the delay in front, you’ll have the delay effect becoming distorted, if you get your distortion from the amp (which I do). With the delay in the loop, the distorted signal from the preamp will get delayed, instead.

Do you want to distort your delayed signal or add delay your distorted signal?

The latter makes for a more natural-sounding, less messy effect.

Hmmm...I plan on keeping delay as the last pedal in my FX loop...I LOVE my current delay setting and the FV30L has an effect on it..it's subtle enough that I can run it 100% of the time and it doesn't "sonically clutter" the rhythm parts..

I use the BCB-60

Which pedals are on it fluctuates depending on my mood (right now the looper and chorus are off, replaced with a fuzz and octave). In this shot the three on the left are in the loop, the three on the right and wah are in front of the amp.

What's your thoughts on the Waza on those pedals?

The Waza ones rule, I want more of them. It's not some marketing hyperbole, they really do have lower noise and a clearer output from the improved buffer. Plus they all have a second mode that the originals didn't. The Custom mode on the Blues Driver turns it into a very neutral sounding clean boost, or if you turn up the gain it's bordering on distortion territory, lots more dirt than the regular mode. Custom mode on the delay is much brighter and tighter sounding, with more delay time. It gets close to a digital delay but still has the texture and organic detail that bucket brigade delays have.
