The Nudity, Politics n' Religion Club (Post at own risk!)

I NEVER post on threads with Politics,Religion,Guns,Nudity Ect because not that im a prude ,far from it its just theres no end to these types of posts for everyone has different views.all these posts do is stir up hate and discontent. Now do i agree with alot of what some of you are saying ?,hell yes i do but i keep it to myself cause it just ends up in pissing matches. this is only my thoughts and i do like the fact that we on this fine forum can discuss things that some are very opinionated on.i just choose not to partisipate in those discussions. Music brings all us different types together.hell we got Criminals to Lawyers on here and thats just cooler than Shite to me.Rock On

I guess I opened the door before looking through the keyhole to see what was waiting on the other side.
At this point I would like to point out that the photo I posted was carefully selected because it shows nothing
and whatever anyone "saw" was in their own mind. It was done by well known photographer Ramon Martinez.
Prints in several formats are readily available from respected sites. The photo actually shows nothing but
long blonde hair and shadows.
As far as the crucifix goes, the Santa picture has one too and I find that picture to be far
more disturbing but I would bet heavily that most people laughed when they saw it.
Santa on the cross was funny but the girl was offensive?
Censorship has some very odd standards.

The post was in no way meant as a challenge to those that took the trouble and had the skills
to set up this forum and I regret the fact that it seems to have been taken as such.

I feel that the initial intent of the thread was good and that it (the thread) may have veered off course.
Or maybe not. "The nobama thread" may be the actual culprit here. Things are very emotionally
charged at this time and I think Sergios thread may have been used by us as an "escape hatch"
from the other thread. I would like to believe we are capable of self governing under normal circumstances.
I also think that if the one thread gets deleted or locked, so should the other but I feel that deleting or
locking either or both will change the basic premis (spelling?) this forum was created around.

Well Don, it like this... The admins here have created this site out of our own time and money. We created this site for the love of music. Should someone post a picture that could be considered to be pornographic and violate any laws allowing minors to view it, we might get sued and shut down. This is not why we put our butts on the line. If you wanna talk about food, fine. If you wanna talk about cars and bikes, fine. If you wanna talk about furniture, fine. If you wanna talk about politics, fine. If you wanna talk about hot chicks, fine. If you wanna talk about hot guys, fine. If and when someone puts this site in jeopardy of being sued or shut down, that is not fine.

Noooo. Once you do that, there is no way to fairly separate the wheat from the chaff, the kosher from the tref. If I don't have anything other than negativity to contribute, I make my comment short or not at all. If I post something controversial, I'm ready to take the heat. I think that's kind of how things work irl.
 
Further more I personally invited a couple of ladies to join us here. A couple of ladies that may have felt that other forums may be too much of a boys club. A couple of ladies that expressed how they like the place and feel comfortable here. I ask that you do not make them feel uncomfortable. They came here to be involved in a music forum, not to see nakkid female bodies. Hell, they can look in a mirror to see that. So how about y'all act like you are at the Thanksgiving dinner table with your family. All of the family from Granny to the toddlers. Mind your manors, don't be rude and keep the nekkid pics where they belong.

Hopefully, we don't need rules.

A political discussion in a guitar forum may not do much harm, but the way I see it, it doesn't do any good either. It's so much easier to just not get involved.

As for nudity, again, things are so much easier if we just let it be.

By all means, I am not for censorship, and if we just behave, @WavMixer and the mods will have an easier job. And they deserve it for setting this place up.

We could leave politics and religion out as that's what causes the most division in society anyway. In a music based forum, we need harmony, lol.
As far as nudity, there are plenty of web sites that offer that, just watch out for ad bombs and viruses. Maybe here, instead of "Naked and Afraid" it could be "Partially Clothed and a Little Skiddish"

You misunderstand. It's your site to do with as you please. My point was a general one about the concept of censorship and the aspects of life that are considered unsuitable for the lower classes to see.

I agreee that guns are bad and tits are good. however the people that run the world do not agree. so rather than fight them, I would prefer to keep this forum on track. however I am in the process of making a private room just for political debates. Members will have to request access to it, so there should be no butt hurt members if they don't like what they read.

You may notice that I have contributed neither guns nor tits to the thread. But a "no holds barred" room where people can go to vent whatever is currentlly winding them up may be a good idea. My concern is that it might end up in animosities that spill over into the main area. That would be a shame.

I think everyone here has had experience with belonging to forums and I also believe everyone is adult enough to know "where the line is". Believe me, I love a good debate and I like boobies and guns, but I would never bring those into a conversation .....well, maybe boobies :whistle: All and all, this forum is pretty well behaved, so all I got is....
