I made the jig out of an old wooden miter box. I use an embedded feeler gauge as an indexing pin. The sled has a 25.5 scale on one side and 24.75 on the other. I cut them myself using pre-slotted fretboards as templates. The saw is from Lowe's or maybe Home Depot. The depth stop is stuck on with double sided tape.

Ya it is. I did the dust thing today sanding an old Westinghouse cab - not as exciting as this strat build to say the least.

Got the Fretboard glued up. I also got the nut blank fitted:

The pickguard doesn't fit around the bridge so it will need some adjustment with the Dremel.

Thanks. By the way, where it looks like an indentation in the am contour is just an optical illusion caused by the grain patterns in the different layers that make up the body.

I also got the back of the headstock drilled out for the Fender style tuning peg locator holes but neglected to take a picture of that.

I totally share your sentiment regarding playing skill. It's like Ray (RVA) told me yesterday, "building skill guess much slower than building guitars."

I would have never thought of making a blue guitar. But then Ray was telling her take one, please, in blue! Suddenly, I had to do LPB. I've got the past on order from ReRanch.
