We meet again for a day of special instruments



First, pics. Some have a depression in the front and an angled grooce in the back. They feel very natural.

So after the guitar expo did you and Tony Manhattan go for a cwoffee while taking out Tony's dawg (Babe Ruff) for a walk in Central Pawk?

An interesting take. Bottom tuners, but still has a headstock. I am told this is for balance and ease of tuning

Yep. GC and bigger names were there. Lots of PRS , Gibson, Fender, etc, but no reason to photo them. Mr Sadowsky was there, but only with unfinished bodies. Not a single completed instrument

We had a good time.
Lotsa nice stuff this year.
It would have been an NGD for me but the seller
was not rooted in reality with his asking price.
The Ferro guitars were very nice indeed and
their hardware and machining were excellent.
I'll let you know how the (tone)wood picks
are after I have a chance to check them out.

I think I just now figured out why the guitars with
the tuners on the bottom still have a headstock.

If the builder measured correctly all the
strings would be the exact same length.
I don't think that would be advantageous but
I see no other reason to keep the headstock.

In defense of Ray, he exercised admirable self control.
Not even one guitar "followed him home".

I almosy got a few but the guitars either the price or a flaw in the guitar shut me down.

I took some close ups of these buffolo bone picks. Others are made of buffalo horn. Note the thumb hole on one side and the index finger slot on the other side.The link for these pics is below. I find them quite comfortable and precise to use so far
