Apparently a guy sent it to Mike Soldano for his retirement because they apparently ripped his design off of the SLO for the Rectifier?

Unless I am mistaken, Larry was the first person to make a double cream pickup.
It made good business sense to trademark the idea. I have had a number of ideas
in my life that I did not patent. Other people thought of the same thing later and
make a good amount of money by following through when I did not.

Gibson was the first to make them. In the 1950's. There were double black, double cream, and zebras under the covers. They also invented the style of pickup that he claimed a trademark on...he just happened to run to the Patent and Trademark office and claimed them as his own, and they have been too obstinate over the years to correct their mistake despite many other pickup makers bringing it to their attention.

I invented a way to eat cereal in the shower and not get it full of water and soap, so I could sleep later before school and have time to eat, get clean and still catch the bus.
