Yeah, this isn't "surface mounts" but what I see from your pic is that some of the components might be able to be removed and replaced from the "surface" side of the pcb… uhm, maybe. But look at the boxy blue 1000pF cap and those push button switches and the only way to mess with them would be to get under the pcb.

Robert, I hate to say this, but MAN, if my amp sounds anything like the one Dave is playing here. I sure think it would nail almost any gain sounds you are after.
Damn I love finding unique clips. not just everyone playing Little Wing over and over.
The amp's gain is halfway. EQ's are just about flat. Resonance control is maxed (This surprised me...). V30 speaker (A very midrange speaker). Boosted by a TS type pedal's level control with no gain and flat tone control. Remember that TS circuit type pedals are notorious for barely boosting the low frequencies... less mud! This guy's hitting the front of a DSL40C with a TS clone and he's hitting the red channel too...
No kidding. Like, whenever anyone demos and SG they can't resist playing AC/DC.
When we all know it should be Black Sabbath![]()

Try the same formula. Maybe you can borrow a TS type of pedal from somebody. The V30 speaker might be a key ingredient, but not sure how it compares to your amp's Reaper.

Nope. I was telling him to notice the fact that a V30 is being used in the demo, and that V30s are very aggressive on the mid range.Sysco, I see you mention V30's.
Forgive me if my brain is muddy on your point. BUT are you telling Robert that using a V30 is a common tool in the high gain user's arsenal?
You never know what kind of magic you might conjure up...Guess I need to test a TS for the hell of it....????
