VOX VT20X

Just got home from a 3 hour rehearsal with Ninja on his Katana 50

All was good, no issues playing live over drums and a bass and Ninja. We do need to work on amp placement tho as he could hear me but not his own amp and I could hear him lol.

One thing tho, I touched the Volume knob right at the end on our last song. Only wanted to tweek for a last solo, turned it a smidge, then boom, super loud !! I forgot the saved settings don’t emulate the amp knob settings.

Live n learn I guess lol :)

It performs that’s for sure !!

And it’s loud, very loud !!

note to self adjust vol before strumming......

JUST for grins and shites--- I slapped the little vox with some SERIOUS MEAT outta the THUNDERBIRD---- clean channel vol and power cranked-- gain on level 1 ---- at LOW quiet play to not wake folks in the next room -- it has a nice tone ----but that ALL you get --- bump the gain its farty fuzzy and yuk---
but it does work as a QUIET bass practice amp! lol BUWAHWHAHWHAHWH

this is a fun thing to do with the VT20X --
get the ORANGE model--- add the "Gov'nor" Marshal tone pedal --- and run it through your VOX Modeling amp-------

Lol, yeh I been playing the Marshall this week, it sounds good even at low volume. Just using it to practice our songs on.

AND -- if you have some "regression depression" its not like you cant FIND another VT30 in the future for cheap ----- probably cheaper as the VTX's hit the used market and SPANK the regular VT series (oops did I say that out loud lol)

Just spent a couple minutes dialing in a VERY nice clean tone on the little beastie---

no-- its not the EXACT tone of a Fender Tweed---but its damn close enough for some clean noodling on a Sunday afternoon---
and its very very similar to this

for ---- 1400.00 LESS-- I can live with that

I spent all night one night last week finding settings for all our songs, after I messed with the EQ one night while under the influence of a few than needed red wines. Modelling amps don’t set up good while drunk.

I set the green channels just clean thru to distortion

The second 4 have trem, chorus, delay and crazy orange madness
