Ceriatone OTS Mini 20 Combo

They removed the tubes for shipping, so I also biased the amp and took gut shots while I was at it

There are cans for all three pre-amp tubes (not pictured). The silver nub between socket types is the bias adjustment

Rear controls (but undereath since the controls are top mounted on this combo). The Speaker in the cab is a Vintage 30 made in China. Being my impatient self, I already have a WGS ET65 waiting to replace it (probably next week)

Special thanks to Michael Smith for the original order. I guess he picked the Vintage 3- since it was shipped without a speaker. This sticker indicates that it was assembled in Malasia by Nik

So this is point-to-point!

You check bias on this amp with by contacting either side of the blue resistors on the power tube sockets pictured on the bottom right of the below photo

Technically, with an eyelet board.....but that’s how Fender used to do them.

Congratulations sir!!!
Happy for you!
I hope it gives you what you’re looking for!
How’s it so far?
Please give the V30 a fair shake, then keep in mind, the WGS is going to require some break in time before it really sweetens up.

CLIIIIIIIIIIIIIPS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Thanks! So far, excellent. It is going to take some work to dial in the perfect tones. The amp opeates as if has 3 gain stages, and then a ratio knob between stages 1 and 2/3 for balance. The video below is a great explanation for those interested.

That looks beautiful! Love the gut shots!
I watched the video. It makes sense to me. I could wring some spicy stuff out of that, for sure. I could also get all kinds of other stuff out of it too, by the looks!
I’m still happy I just got my Phaez, but this would have been fantastic! I didn’t think it would be in my range, and I honestly forgot it existed...frankly.
I do remember seeing it on the Ceriatone site a while back though. I watched a couple of the videos on it.
Someone just posted while I was typing....I hope it was Ray! With a clip!

Edit: nope. It was an other Don.:D

Still trying to dial in a tone like the one in the video below. I actually just shot that guy a comment on Youtube about his OD trim settings and he was nice enough to reply.

Then I hooked up the Klein-ulator. It stole all the breakup I had going on and smoothed out the top end. I liked the smoothness, but it left my tone clean. I would love to understand why a buffer in the FX loop would do that.

Your amp is a Brown-Note copy. I'm no fan of Nik. Chad Tony and I reversed engineered Dumble ODS-100 #102 and #183
Chad took photos and voltage readings I built prototypes so did Chad Tony did layouts after posting the layouts Nik had them for sale.
We did put errors in the layout's just small things so they would not sound exact. Then we brought in John in John worked for Two-Rock
John designed the board sets and the power transformer EL-34 for ODS amps. Chad went crazy to many orders. Tony sucked me in on the Steel String Singer 100 amp
I sent him a board set that would be the #002 SSS-100 that John Mayer owns now. Then five amp builders had them on the market I felt betrayed by Tony.
Next was the SSS-150 amp it took me 3 years and $100k at the end of the day it sounded just like a Marshall Major. I have only built two amps since then.
#060 ODSR was for sale $60k I asked my business partner for a draw he went off the cuff that I would spend $60k on a guitar amp.
I had 1.85 million on the books at that time 10 years of work Wayne died I never did get my money But I do own the patients.
I do not sell guitar amps I build from scratch. I never did it for the money. Wayne did make a deal with me when I get back we will build a new shop 5.5 Million
we will split it 50/50 Wayne's wife Cathy wanted me to keep things going she used my money to pay off Wayne's new 65' boat and married two week's after Wayne's
death. Sorry about my rant. RVA if you want to improve your amp find a CTS 250k 2/35 taper audio pot used in Fender amps until 1984 for the treble.
