VOX VT20X

Ill get around to that -- right now I am just REALLY amazed at how it DOESNT sound like an 8 inch speaker-- there is way more "grunt" and chug --

of course YES if you crank it -- the 8 inch speaker shows its A$$ a bit-- but -- I mean that isnt what this is meant for now is it ?
its meant for bedroom---apartment-- use-- so as to give GOOD tone-- but NOT deafen your neighbors
they have done a decent job of losing the usual "mids heavy" small speaker issue--

Yeh I noticed that on my VT30 the bass strings were so bassie but the VTX clarity is like whooooot the foooook nice

well----o.k. -- trying to 'splain-- (I mena I cant they must have pixie dust or something in there) -- but--
the VOX is sitting on an 80 Watt Peavey 112 bandit - -(ON IT) --
little vox.jpg
The peavey has 60 more watts-- and a 12 inch SHeffield speaker
when I play cleans (with a touch of gain) at my desk (5 feet away ) and my BACK to the amps--- I can FEEL the Peavey bass response through the floor (on vol level 2 --)
now I do have the VOX on about vol level 5 or 6 -- BUT the POWER level at 5 also---and --- I feel the SAME vibrations from the floor and the back of my chair as I do with the Peavey--
IVE NEVER experienced fullness in an 8 inch speaker like this its foogin amazing---and it DOESNT "mud up" or "stinker out" -- (again at LIVEABLE volumes)
yes the PEavey and the MEsa will stomp it and rip it to shreds in a GIG situation... but for home use "dicking about" this is good-- its REALLY good
the VOX tones are VOXY the Marshall tones are Marshalie the orange tones are tasty! ---
wow.......................

Lol, well had a long work day and tonight I just been going thru the Amps and the red yellow green button. They seem to know just what tone I want :)

I punched the yellow and red just to see they exist--- but Ive not gotten of the green ......the VOX model -- WOW-- and the Fender clean -- so rich and full-- been swapping guitars and playing through that one with a touch of gain-- and reverb -- HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY

Very cool yet again!

I had guessed at most the amp models-- that and the videos but the exact years etc. where news to me .....cool link thanks for posting.

@Don O -- hows that 40 watt doing ???

Sounds Like you guys are really liking it! If my local shop doesn't have one , I will have to talk to Mark and say to him you just have to get one for the shop. I will use your opinions to sway him...…

Here you go Rob, I think this is a tough one to beat for all the different tones, definitely a try out.....

Isn't LOUD part of the review!!!!!!!!!!. Now get back to it and crank that baby up, then report back to me!o_O:confused::)

no--
but CRANKED-- its about as loud as my Marshall 20 watt Valvestate on 80% with a 10" speaker if that helps

eSGEe guess you can sell off those other amps you have now, as the Vox will cover them all Eh.

well.....uhm...............

;)

the MEsa still slays all.....and what the Mesa misses the PEAVEY OBLITERATES (and I have a contractual obligation to always own at least 1 Peavey amp--USA Made in MEridian Ms. -- by law-- )
and my Marshall Valvestate --was practically STOLEN -- 45.00 -- and it DOES Marshall MEtal tone-- to 125.8% perfection --- so --uhm

no

Ill sell ya a pedal :)
OR a Panama 5 watt all tube 5f1 tweed clone ......its VERY nice -- and purple ;)
