Since being on Elevate notropic infused coffee, I have lost my taste for alcohol of all kinds. Last drink I had was on my wife's birthday - December 9, 2018

Wow! Does beer count as a drink? I think it's different from each other... "I haven't had a drink in years, but I had a beer a few minutes ago!"

I doubt it would be popular. Beer is likely healthier than soft drinks.

Beer??????????????? I thought beer is to only have hops, malt, yeast, and water in it.

The German beer purity law is (thankfully) not in effect anywhere anymore (not even in Germany, in fact Norway was the last country where it was in use, until 1993!). Lots of great fruit beers out there, especially in Belgium. Now, as for the classic German/continental beer styles like Helles, Dunkles, Weissbier, Pilsner, Dortmunder Export etc. malt hops, water and yeast are the only "correct" ingredients (with a few processing aids thrown in at times), but beer is SO much more than that. Just like guitars. I mean, I love SGs, but other guitars are cool too!

Also,Good to hear this about that coffee and no alcohol, Robert. I was wondering about how your weight managing was going and I presume that eliminating alcohol would go a long way to keeping the lbs off.

I have the flu, but I'm placing my trust in some serious placebo effect working today. Guitars and beer MUST be the answer.

My best recipe for the flu is...

Earl Grey Tea with Asbach Uralt Weinbrand and some local honey.

Two cups in the evening, and then go to bed.

Most times, you feel great in the morning.

Goose Island IPA was the very first American IPA I ever tasted. It is still pretty tasty stuff.

My locally supermarket used to have a huge international beer section with 20+ IPAs, but the revamped the place and now that's the only IPA they stock (other than a couple of low priced and average tasting local Korean brands), but it's pretty good.

My boy just left after a public holiday visit (Easter Friday). So what do we have in common ... guitars, beer and a game of pool.
