Small size quality analog delay

Carbon Copy is the only one made today that resembles the tone and space created by the old FX-90 by Digitech bunch before they were Digitech,.... What was their name??? I'm old and forget stuff.... Oh yeah!! DoD!! If you can find a DoD FX90, buy it! Love it, fondel it, and never let it outta your sight. Kill to keep it!!
Sorry, too much Rum and Diet Coke.... We Lakota folk don't doo well on this stuff.... I'm off to play my 50 dollar Starcaster now.... bye!! :victoire:

And lo and behold!, I just found a used Carbon Copy in very good condition for sale. About half price of a new one. And the good thing is, the seller lives a short walk away from the hall where my son goes to fencing practice. And even better, right before I found the Carbon Copy, I sold a Fulltone Soulbender (Tonebender clone), which pays for the new aquisition. One in, one out. And a Way Huge Aqua-Puss up for sale.

I have one of these now:

Best analog delay I have ever used. Have had Carbon Copy and Carbon Copy Bright, Memory Man and a few others in the past. This walks all over all of them.

I realize Gahr has already made plans to get a Carbon Copy, so the question is kind of moot. But, I'm still curious. What do you like about this delay so much?

The Wazacraft pedal has an expression jack that you can hook up an expression pedal to control the delay time

As far as I know it is the only analogue delay pedal to offer this feature

I have an Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy that has that capability, too. It's useful. But, for my purposes, I switched to a TC Electronic Nova Delay with tap-tempo. The tap-tempo allows more precise timing of delay repeats, if you need that sort of thing.

You lads sure go for that complicated machinery. Reckon I'm too old for this conversation. I'm goin' back to my biscuits 'n coffee. .... one of y'all remind me to take my morning meds ok?

I just picked up the Carbon Copy. Apart from a couple of minor chips in the finish, it is in near mint condition.

And DAMN!, did I earn this pedal! It better be good. I had to walk for 40 minutes each way from where my son does fencing practice to get it. I walk a lot every day (I don't have a car, or a driver's licence for that matter), and don't mind walking at all, but it's cold and the rain started pissing down after about 10 minutes. I'm so wet I could swim inside my own clothes. I can't wait to get home amd get some warmth in my bones. My wife's sister is visiting today so I won't be able to try the pedal until tomorrow, bit that's ok. My fingers are too stiff to do anytimg on the guitar anyway. It's hard enough trying to write on the bloody phone. My kingdom for a hot cup of tea! And still over an hour until I get home from the sports hall... It better be GOOD!

For me that seems very unusual. You don't need one, or are there some other circumstances?

BTW, congrats on a very nice Delay pedal.
Yes, unusual here, and no, no special circumstnces.

Most people in my situation would say they need one, but I choose not to own a car. My wife doesn't drive either. I walk a lot, and buses run by our house about every 5-10 minutes. I save lots of money not having a car. If I do need a car to take me somewhere special, I get a taxi. Granted, it is less practical than having one, but with a little planning it is not a problem. I guess most people don't really understand why I choose not to have a car, but that's ok. Traffic can be bad here, and in the winter, the air is really bad in parts of town because of it. With a little more effort people could solve this problem by driving less. But, hey, I don't want to preach. What others do is not my business.

Thanks for the response. Around here, if you don't have a license or a car by the age of 16, you will be looked down as somebody who has F'd up somewhere. So how do you pull your travel trailer?
... :boobpoke:
