Strips of Scotch Super 33+ electrical tape over the copper tape where the jack "hot" is closest to the shielding.
I have found this method to be effective on reducing what I call "transient hum" when a hot lug is very close to the ground matrix.
A good example is the tip of the cable and its close proximity to the shielded cavity cover on a Gibson SG. A single strip of tape in this area totally silences the guitar...
